Customizable Groups?

I remember hearing a while back about being able to create custom groups for recorded shows. So I would be able to create a "Jason" group that would hold all of my shows and my wife could create one for her shows. Is this functionality available yet? If not, anyone know when it's expected?

Not yet. And, I'll bet, not even "soon."

Would be a nice feature, though. I'd like to group my OTA recordings by ER & DH & OTHER.

This feature is available now on the 722K.

I've used the new groups on my 722K, and Dish needs to fix it because the folder will show 0 shows, but, in fact, there are recordings in there. Also, it shows the wrong number of recordings in the custom files. Otherwise, it does work and is a great feature to organize recordings by creating any names for the folders you want.

I haven't really noticed how many it shows in the custom folders. I just like that I can separate my shows by category and keep them all down to 6 folders:

daytime tv-soaps, The view,Price is right.
home decore tv- my wife has about 25recordings in this one and still recording.
news tv-Good Morning America, Morning Joe, Local news, World news tonight.
primetime tv- all my current network shows .
late night tv- Saturday night live, The Tonight show,David Letterman.
Films- movies I will send to my external hard drive for storage.

It makes my main dvr so much easier to read and what ever I 'm in the mood for, I can go to that folder and find a show.

IT will alphabetically group them inside the folders you select , but won't create another folder within the folder , if that is what you are thinking.
