Some time back I recall someone posting a movie schedule for Cuba TV on 30°. Does anyone have a clue about current movie scheduling?

Well, there was someone doing it manually, and one tried writing a script(?) to do it automatically. But think both have failed. Heck even google translate doesn't work any more. (which I had been using for quite a while) For a while now, even http://www.juventudrebelde.cu only loads now and then, usually just displaying 'unable to locate page'. Th:confused:ink it may be limited/blocked by one or the other G0:eek:V???? That, or my ISP is getting crappier.
So, to answer the question, sorry but no. Will be missed.

The google translate link that FaT Air posted was the same link I have been using, have had no trouble with it until today (used it on the weekend). Could be the site is temporarily down.

Well, I'll have to try again later, but swear it's been MIA/DOA for me for a couple of weeks. Must been my ISP earlier, AWKW recently:confused:

I posted a schedule back in December on the old thread but it was a time consuming pain in the bleep. The hard part is the Spanish titles do not match the original English titles. So you have to take the translated garbage and try to figure out the movie/tv show title by searching the actors names on IMDB. Some TV shows are hard because they have no description. An example is "Gateway to the Stars" is actually Stargate SG-1.

If someone wants to do it here is how I did it

Go to http://www.bing.com/translator

drop the following link into the first box and hit translate

http://www.juventudrebelde.cu/cartelera/television/cubavision/

Cut and paste date, time, title, year and actors of potential English programming into a word or text file. Research and edit the titles if you can.

When done repeat for the other FTA channels.

http://www.juventudrebelde.cu/cartelera/television/canal-educativo/
http://www.juventudrebelde.cu/cartelera/television/canal-educativo-2/

The last time I tried it took nearly an hour per channel to get it all sorted out. I think that is why no one does it anymore. For someone who is into movies and remembers who acted in what, you probably could do them in half the time. The second education channel has switched to a lot of Telesur programming so there is rarely any english stuff on there.

I agree it can be a time consuming task, even knowing spanish, for example, last Sunday Night Cubavision had the movie "Hanky Panky" with Gene Wilder (1982) but in Cubavision listings, the literal translation would be "Escape for two".

So basically when I want to know what movie it really is, I have to check for clues, who stars the movie, director, description, because sometimes the listing will not even show the year the movie was made or released.

For example tonight Tuesday, the listing shows a movie the literal translation would be "Silence Agreement" it actually is - The Company you Keep- 2012 with Robert Redford and Nick Nolte. ;)

A friend and I created an automatic program to extract the movies from the schedule, but it was not 100% accurate due to the way the movies were listed and the titles being different.

Since I have Roku I haven't even watched Cubavision within the last 6-8 months.

Saw Mama was on last night. but not remembering the time difference and being busy with other things, missed the first half. Oh well.
Since translate is working, again:)(apparently just for me) I'll have to 'look' at it again.

Tonight Wednesday on Cubavision (times are Central for US and Mexico)

10 : 14 PM Grey´s Anatomy
10 57 PM Person of interest

Then after that the nightly news (don´t know how long is that) and after that

Movie - Failure to Launch 2006 with Matthew McConaughey and Sarah Jessica Parker
