The Christian Science Monitor has published a report on black market satellite TV in Cuba. Similar stories hit the news wires from time to time, but this one includes a lot of specifics regarding the income of Cubans, going prices, fines, and jail time.
The story only mentions Direct TV, and what are probably US-based brokered or shared accounts - no mention of FTA.
I remain curious about the FTA situation in Cuba. No doubt FTA is also illegal - the regime's issue is not with piracy but rather with unfiltered information reaching the Cuban public - but considering the prices Cubans are paying for one channel of black market Direct TV, one would think that FTA would be a more attractive option for many Cubans.
