Coolsat8000HD

I bought a coolsat8000 HD from a local buy,sell and when i try ot get in to set up my hh90 it asks for a password and i tryed everything and i also looked all over the net trying to find out what to do, i also when on to coolsats website and downloaded there factory file and loaded that and still not a thing i called the guy up i got it from and he said he never changed it and ideas on what i can do

I think the master password is 0103

If that does not work try this:
-----------copy/paste-----------
go to status/system Info and press 3749
after that, the receiver goes to main menu.
press dish set up and then press 0000.

If that work, then go to the Security Menu and turm Password Protection "Off"

May need to load the "Clean" Firmware, then reload current Factory Firmware

the default password is 0000 but load the clean firmware first to wipe out EVERYTHING....then reload with factory

that makes no sence as the clean wipes out all the software in the unit

Did the "Clean" load OK?

Is there a "parental control " area of the menus ? If so, try the "0000" password to get into it, and then turn off all password protection ( get rid of that irritation). See it works.
