Just a heads up in case any of the DVB World USB owners got in on the coolsat deal.

I noticed today that the directional pad on the coolsat remote triggers numbers to come up on the DVB world software. Time to tape up the IR eye ;).

I don't know if it makes a difference, but I'm using the 'new RC' 8/1/06 software. I only chose this over the mini remote becuase #1 I don't have ANY remote, and #2 it was newer.

I've had FTA boxes interfere with others

The Samsung reciever I have screws with the Coolsat (if the Coolsat is on)

good to know

I have my DVB World box slaved from my Coolsat 4000 and have no issues at all.
Maybe it's just the newer Coolsats.

Good to know. It might be that driver I used too

the 5000's remote looks exactly like the 4k's. The 6k has a different remote. This may be isolated to the 6k.

I discovered quite a while ago, not long after I first got the DVBworld box, that anykind of signal from anykind of IR remote would trigger continuity errors in Tsreader whenever I was tuned to high bitrate streams. So, I taped over the little IR sensor on the DVBworld box. This solved the issue for good.
