I can get just about everything that is free on G11 except for CW at 3720 mhz. According to lyngsat CW is FREE but I get nothing. Can anyone help? I've tried pid scan, manual, and blind scan.

I know that the CW channels require "Manual PID Entry". That process may be different on different models of receivers. What make/model of receiver are you using?

I have been having problems receiving these CW channels the past few days. The signal on this transponder drops and other transponders come in fine. Then several hours later the signal on CW sometimes returns to normal.

Davage is correct they won't scan in you have to put in the Pids. As far as reception goes they have been fine on my end.

Thanks for the replies. Davage I'm using a Coolsat 5000 Platinum. I get good signal strength 97. Quality is at 73, but no channel is sellected. Manual pid entry hasn't worked. If lyngsat is correct and Freq is 3720 SR is 26700 pids are 101 102. I'm out of ideas.

You have to input all the parameters manually. My Coolsat 5000 displays them fine.

You need the Frequency and Symbol Rate Plus mark it as H for Horizontal, just like it is on Lyngsat

Then input all three
VPID 101
APID 102
PCR 101

I usually give it the name.

Then tell it to scan. It should pop right in. :)

i think when i manually entered them into my coolsat ( from the manual scan part of the menu), i then had to go into the channel part of the menu and edit it there
or you can take a dead transponder and edit the channel information into it. should work also
:)
good luck

you cant add channels via the 5000 via pid scan...here is what to do

1. scan the channels in on 3920 (the EWTN mux)
2. go to manual scan
3. change that transponder to the CW numbers that Lyngsat shows (3720)...when done entering hit exit and it will saveDO NOT HIT OK AS IT WILL TRY AND SCAN AND YOU LOSE THE EXISTING CHANNELS IN THERE
4. go to channel edit
5. select the first channel on the EWTN mux and edit the pids
6. rename channel and done
7. delete blank channels
8. if you want to scan EWTN in add the transponder manually then rescan

Iceberg and George are correct.

It's been so long since I put them in my Coolsat I had forgotten how I did it.

It is on my Pansat 3500 that I can just enter the information and it pulls them in.

Strange! On my new CS6100 Private I get a signal of 85% and a level quality of 80% for on 3720 H / 26700; I entered manually the pids
VPID 101
APID 102
PCR 101
but when I ask to scan this transponder, I get no TV or Radio channel at all. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Mike

Edit: Got it. I reread the #8 post from IceBerg.
