Hi,
so I have Comcast here in the bay area in CA. I hate their dvr, it is very slow to respond etc. If I sign up online to move to Dishnetworks, the guy comes out and has some issues with not all channels available at the point of installation, can I get out of the deal at that point?
My concern is that I may not receive all channels and still be told that I signed up and tough luck.

Also I am stuck with Comcast for my internet connection and so will still have basic cable enabled through them (they have a pricing deal with basic cable and their internet package). Anyone doing this?

Thank you all for your insight
Patrick

Sign up from the Dish Store for Dish Network. He'll take care of all your needs and ??. He will probably get you a better deal too. I live in the bay area too and I think you won't miss comcast.

I would do my homework to figure out exactly what channels are being offered (ask neighbors, local installers). I saved money switching to Dish from Comcast. One of the positively pleasant things happens to be SD picture quality (although this may be a moot point once everything switches to HD). You can't beat the 722 DVR - absolutely the best. I would look around a bunch to get the best deal(s). Also check sams, costcos etc. they have deals with Dish. Good luck!!
