I am having problems trying to connect my wireless d-link router to my HN9000 and getting connected to the internet. I connected the router and have it working. I can see the PC upstairs on the laptop and can share files between them.
I found this on the net earlier:
For this to work you have to connect the cable from the hughes box to your router on one of the four regular jacks on the back NOT the internet/wan jack you would normally use.
Set the IP of the Dlink to 192.168.0.254
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
default GW 192.168.0.1
This SHOULD allow the router to act like a switch.
First I could not find a place in the router to make the default GW 192.168.0.1.
On the hn9000 the last ip is 192.168.0.254 so this causes a conflict between both units. can someone please help? I need step by step instructions if possible, I have been trying to get this going all day, so any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
