My local CBS station has started advertising for DISH Network customers to call DISH and tell them they want their UCONN Huskies. While the UCONN Men have been on SNY for over a year this is the first year the Lady Huskies are on SNY after leaving the Connecticut PBS stations.

According to this article, DISH will bring back SNY if they get enough calls...

So pick up the telephone and tell them you want SNY back on DISH. 866-722-7500

I just called. If you call from the phone number on your account you will be recognized. You have to go through the menu prompts to eventually speak to a person.

I've come to just not watch every game. (Men or now will be Women) If it's a big enough game I can go to a friend's house, (after not having SNY Charter got it back) or go to a bar or even many restaurants and watch some of it. Easy to listen on the radio also. I have mixed feelings about Dish getting it because I really don't want to pay more than I have to, and I can live without SNY.

I might agree with that sentiment if we actually saw a reduction in our bills when it was taken away.

I would rather watch a game in the comfort of my own home than pay inflated food and drink prices for the opportunity...

It's never about getting a reduction of a bill, it's how much less the next price increase is when a channel is lost. But even then, that assumes no other channels were added. I agree about the cost of food/drink, but we're talking a very few times during the season for me, and it is a good time out. I guess it depends on how you look at it. Both Charter (waaaay more) and Direct would cost me considerably more so I'm good as is. It's nice to have choices, to me someone can get depending on where you live Charter, or Uverse or Direct or Dish, etc.. based on what each offers. Must have SNY, MSG, YES, then you get one of the other more expensive providers.

I finally got around to calling Dish. It took a while getting through the menus, but once I had a real person on the line I told him about the WFSB article and requested to get the SNY channel back. The customer service rep said that he would add my account number to the SNY channel on Dish's requested channel list. (He also said that SNY was one of the top requested channels on Dish's requested channel list). I hope Dish can get this channel back. I miss watching UCONN Huskies backetball.
