greetings,

is it possible to connect my comcast cable (locals) directly to the antenna/cable in on my 510 and have the channels appear in the guide? i was thinking it would be nice to not have to switch inputs on the TV to see local channels. there is no comcast reciever. it is just basic. was cheaper to get internet and basic cable than it was to get the internet alone. go figure.

TIA

no there is no way to do that. you have to turn the sat box of for cable channels to go to the TV. sorry to burst you bubble

Greetings, You can connect, But the locals will not show up in the guide and you will have to switch inputs on your tv. There is no way around this. The only way you can get your locals to show up in your guide is to sub to them through E* on your 510.

thank you,

i appreciate your time of your replies.

so. . .
why do they even put that conection on the back of the receiver when i can connect the cable directly to the TV? seems odd.

thanx again

it is like a VCR you have one in one out. for example you have cable dish and VCR and there is no RCA jacks on your TV, and only one coax input
