Conaxsat and Dish500 (help!)

Hi, I got a dish 500 someone was tossing. I bought conaxsat trio and try setting everything up. I mounted the dish, plum it, set skew for zip 11428, lock the elevation then moved the dish in the direction when i can get a signal. All i got on my display was an Strenght of 80 and Quality of 0. i moved the dish so many times but was unable to get a Quality signal.
Please Help!

Trio's are for FTA, using one with a Dish 500, one would have to assume you are trying to illegally obtain programming. Are you trying to get channels on dish network that are encrypted since most stuff on dish is not FTA.

I want to get FTA. So Dish 500 is no good? what should i get? I am new to this. I never set one up before.
