How far the component, DVI, or HDMI cable can be before the noticible losesin HD signal quality? Anyone had any experiences? If a signal amplifier will be needed, any suggestion? Assume the signal need to be run 50ft away from the receiver.

Thanks in advance.

I have one TV running off a 721 using component with no apparent loss of signal at around 30 feet. I think you might find the cost of DVI or HDMI cables of 50 ft length to be quite expensive and maybe not worth trying unless someone here can verify that they will work.

Thanks, Brian. Component will be my first choice. BTW, just to make sure that you said that you have a 721, I don't think the 721 offer component output. Did you mean Composit?

Will MPEG-4 change E*'s view on OTA?

did my installer mess up?
