DIRECTV does NOT offer CSN NW (in SD nor HD). If they did, it would be only be part of the basic package for those whom it is "regional"; just as it would be with DISH Network. It is dumb when Dish won't add this channel on the basic cheap packages when Direct TV provide this station with the locals.
Comcast seems to be making quite a bit of noise about CSN NW HD being exclusive to Comcast. I don't know of any cable systems in Oregon other than maybe Ashland that offer it in SD.CSN Northwest is seen on several cable systems as many of the larger satellite systems maintain that Comcast is negotiating in bad faith.
Once they saw the team improving and getting more popular, they sold out to Comcast, cashed in, raised ticket prices in a recession, and basically flipped the bird to the loyal fans that stuck with them through the lean years.
Very true and very sad!! Comcast is not even in my area and if it was i STILL would not get them! They have blocked me out of watching the Blazers and the A's!Wouldn't count on it. Comcast is using the exclusivity as a marketing ploy to get people to switch to Comcast...and the Blazers are in bed with them and refuse to put any pressure on to reach deals with satellite providers.

More like dirty business! All good business decisions.
And for the fans that feel "flipped off" they don't have to buy tickets or pay/watch on comcast. :tux:
