Comcast Purchase Of Tech Tv Is Complete

Comcast issued a press release today saying that the purchase is now complete and that the new lineup will start on 5/28/2004. Details are sketchy right now but www.g4techtv.com is up and running.

Another forum has reported what Tech TV shows will survive. I see no media link however.

I am not sure that this belongs here. It is not really a "stock" issue but it is a business of satellite TV related matter. But if you have thoughts on whether it belongs let me know.

The channel will be carried to anyone who currently has TechTV or G4 TV.

Which means Dish will have the channel. (And Dish is an invester in G4TV/TechTV)

I wonder what this will mean for Directv subs. I watch Techtv quite a bit and would hate to lose it.

Tech TV is gone. Come May 28 the new channel is born. DirecTV will carry it. That is what it means.
