Comcast dropping Techtv name from the G4Techntv channel

channel will be called G4

Charles Hirschhorn, Founder and CEO of the network, announced the channel's official name as G4 - video game television - earlier today at the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour. The name change and new network look and feel will take effect on February 15, 2005.

Is "The Screen Savers" going off upon channel name change? Is the content of those show to change?

Why would a change in the channel name mean the end of Screen Savers. Not that the show is more than a shadow of what it was anyeay.

tell me about it, they need to bring back techtv, with the real screensavers, call for help, fresh gear, etc. that used to be my favorite channel now I cant stand to watch it. they also need to bring back patrick & leo they are what made the screen savers

I agree but I dont see it happening unless a new TechTV channel came about.

I forget were I saw it either on Kevin Rose or Sarah Lane's site that Screen Savers will have the name changed.
