When regulators blocked Comcast's attempted acquisition of Time Warner Cable, the company started looking elsewhere for growth. That has included primarily media investments, like the company's $400 investment in Buzzfeed and Vox Media.

But reports over the weekend suggested that Comcast is also considering a massive leap overseas with the rumored $16 billion acquisition of UK broadcaster ITV. Home of Downton Abbey and one of the UK's four major networks, ITV is already 10 percent owned by Liberty Media exec and cable industry mainstay John Malone.

The problem? Comcast claims the reports aren't true.

"We don't comment on M&A rumors, but the speculation on ITV is just completely inaccurate," Comcast said when asked about the reports.
