I just got Dish TV 322 (the dual tuner gadget). I also have a Channel Master 4228 OTA antenna. Both the receiver and the antenna work perfectly.

I also have dual cable wired to each room (in case I need them).

I would like to combine the OTA channels from the antenna and the Dish channels and feed them together to the Dish receiver and then only use the Dish remote to navigate all the channels. In other words, I want the Dish receiver to handle the OTA channels also.

Per Dish customer support, in order to watch OTA channels, I need to turn off the Dish receiver and use my TV remote controls to watch the OTA channels. The OTA anntenna needs to be connected to the Dish receiver's antenna input. Basically, the Dish receiver is just passing the OTA channels when it is off. The problem with this is that I need to go through multiple steps to watch an OTA channels and further if I need to watch a Dish channels, I need to restore my TV to Ch3 and then turn on the Dish receiver -- too many steps.

Is this possible?

Thanks

NO it is not possible. The 322 does not have an OTA tuner built into it you need to use the TV tuner to tune the OTA channels. If your local channels are available as a subscription from DISH you can subscribe and the 322 can tune to those digital signals. You could try and switch your 322 for a 222 with DISH that receiver has an OTA tuner built in I believe.

So I put it to sleep...
