Will D* contact subscribers in my area when the HD LIL is up and going, or do I need to play the CSR Rolutte game and hope to get one that knows if im live or not? Aditionaly any more news as to if my area is up and going yet or not. Trying to prevent a 2 hr argument with about 50 CSR (an average guess how many i'll through, either in transfers or being hung up on).?

At9

I'm in Columbus and I get my new dish & H20's tomorrow. I've found what works best for me is to mention that I've read that other subscribers on this or another forum are getting the same deal. They'll dig a little and usually come up with information that's new to them. That's how I got my deal on my HD Tivo (sooo glad I didn't spend that $1000 8 months ago!) and the new dish/receiver.

Go Bucks!

CMH isn't live yet. Their press release lists CMH in the 24 markets set to start in April, you may see it in April but I wouldn't be suprised if it's May-June.

Scares the hell out of me to lose my HR10-250, damn I like the Tivo but I am getting kinda tired of turning my indoor ant. around when I need to see ch. 10 or 53. So what is the cost and what are the advantages?

i'm setup to have it installed FREE on march 14th. which suprised me, i just called and (acting stupid) seeing when hd lil would be online in my area because i knew it was comming up soon (wink, wink) the csr said may, i asked if it was possable to get the at9 installed now, so that i wouldent have to wait 3-4 months for an install when it was finaly online in may, she put me on hold. came back that she had the date of mar 14 between 1-5 available. never at any time mentioned cost. well i go onlie and see this:

DIRECTV HD Rec. Install Only (Expanded HD Prog. Capable) $0.00 1 $0.00
DIRECTV 5-LNB Multi-Satellite Dish $0.00 1 $0.00

Subtotal: $0.00

Tax: $0.00
Total: $0.00

bare in mind i allready have the h20 from when i first was installed back in january 2006. either i was just very lucky to get this, or its the current deal.

Ummm...errr....what is the point of all this if we are not "hooked up yet"

btw the point was to futureproof me, and be ready to go from day one when its up and going in our area instead of pulling my hair out waiting to get installed.

I talked to a CSR after you got the upgrade for free and only being with them for three months. She said something weird happened because a 3 month customer wouldn't normally get a free upgrade. She said they would have to pay the $99 fee. Because I have perfect history, she credited my account another $50 bringing my total to $14.95! YAY
