Colorado index ends 6-session slide

An index of Colorado stocks gained for the first time in seven sessions led by EchoStar Communications Corp. Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc. and Applied Films Corp. The Bloomberg Rocky Mountain News Index a price-weighted list of companies based in the state rose 2.47 or 1.07 percent to 229.79 its largest advance in almost seven weeks.
