Too bad they can't figure out a way to can or bottle the product in single serving containers.

It will be interesting to see how cheap they can make the product while keeping the quality.

I have been told that the new Kurig Cold system will not have a CO2 canister which will need replacing like Sodastream, instead in each Soda Pod (almost like thier coffee pod) will include a CO2 chamber inside the pod enough to make the soda flavor which is also contained in the pod.

I would think doing it this way would make the price about the same as buying cans or bottles premade.

This will be very interesting to follow. Attaching the Coca-Cola name to this little industry should certainly bring visibility and growth, even to SodaStream.

This.

The company mentioned, Green Mountain, is better known as Kureig, and envisions this product as the cold companion to its successful coffee makers. The difference, of course, is that making coffee is at least something of an effort, difficult for one person, and there is some advantage in being able to keep multiple variaties on hand. Translating that to Coke, which is ubiquitious in availability, will be a challenge. The trick will be to also offer multiple non-carb drinks such as teas.
