Cinemax HD requires 61.5?

So, I'm on the phone trying to get the Cinemax for a penny deal and I'm running into an issue. I'm pointed at the 110, 119 and 129 and the system won't let CSR activate Cinemax unless I get a 61.5 wing dish.
Am I missing something? According to the list there are Cinemax stations on the 110 (SD) and 129 (HD). I'd be okay with it if they would install it free (unlikely), but he seems insistant on a 2-year commitment or $100. Should I just try another CSR or what do I do here?

Try another CSR. Even better, use the online chat. If they bring this issue up, you already have a 61.5 dish. You bought the parts on ebay and installed it yourself. If they ask you to verify signal strength on 61.5 transponders, it is (insert some random number between 70 and 89). That's your story and you're sticking to it. :)

You already have the only satellite dish needed to receive all Cinemax channels. I have the Cinemax deal and I only receive the 3 satellite positions you listed. I would try CSR roulette until you get one who knows you don't need another satellite dish.

I have a dish pointed at the same three satellites as you and I get all of the Cinemax channels, HD included. The CSR is wrong.

Ok, I used the online chat and this time got a csr that had no problem turning it on for me. He said it would take about 5 minutes, but it's already been 10 and I still don't have it. I just checked the signal on 129 and for transponder 13 and 27 (the ones listed as holding MAX channels) and I'm getting between 35 and 48. Is that enough to pull the HD signal? I guess that shouldn't affect the authorization though. I'm not even getting past that point.
Time for CSR roulette round 3...

Finally got it working. This time I refused the close the chat window until the programming showed up.
Thanks for the help.

Something is insanely wrong when we have to resort to lying to get the Dish CSR's to do a simple update. Why is it that we are all more knowledgeable than the contacts at Dish that we have to deal with?

No wonder Dish is losing customers in droves...

Beat me to it, Scott!

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that at least with the recent STBs, Dish can see what satellites you actually have, anyway. But I doubt very seriously that the CSRs see that info. 129 & 61.5 are almost perfect mirrors of each other.

Hence, "almost." And the Pentagon channel is on 61.5 & 148, but not 129.
