The screen has just arrived on Friday! I bought it a month ago at a charity auction on the Home Theater Cruise.

It's a 110" fixed frame screen with gray Tiburon material, 0.95 gain. This will replace a 92" Dragonfly from SnapAV. Bigger, better quality screen and the gray surface should improve the black levels. Especially with the less than perfect lighting control in my room: I can completely block the outside light, but there is no way my wife would let me paint the walls and the ceiling in dark gray. :)

Anyway, I am installing it today. I will post my review and comments later on.

Cool, I was impressed with the quality of the screen they showed on the ship!

I wish I could have a setup like that!

Nice sounding screen. I have a .90 screen and a 1.0 screen (two different projectors). The .90 does help with black levels.

jealous :) I am looking to try and get a 120" or so screen but am waiting...my 100" elite screen I have now is good, I just have always heard that stewart and a few others have a higher quality screen, so time to save up that money!

I'd love to replace my 120" Elite with a Stewart screen, but at this point I'd probably save up for the 4k AT material. I would love to get the speakers hidden behind the screen. No need for gray as my HT is totally light controlled and painted dark Indigo, including ceiling.

Anyway, congrats on the upgrade Ilya. Sounds like a winner.

The screen was very easy to install. And I really like it so far!

Yes, 4K (Ultra HD) may present some challenges for perforated screens. Well, at least all non-perforated screens from Stewart are 4K-ready.
So, hopefully, I won't have to upgrade the screen again when reasonably-priced 4K projectors come about.

By the way, I did take 4K into consideration when selecting the size and the viewing angle for this screen.
The 110" screen is rather big for my small HT room: my current viewing angle is around 40 degrees.
If I move just a couple of feet closer to my screen I start seeing the screen-door effect and individual pixels.
However, for 4K, this should be great! To me, this is one of the main advantages of 4K: it will allow for a wider viewing angle.

I wasn't thinking so much about 4k projectors, although it is always good to plan for the future when upgrading. My thoughts were more along the lines of getting an AT screen where I wasn't going to be distracted by the weave or holes at 11' viewing distance. I am not a fan of perf vinyl because it tends to block too much of the sound and just doesn't seem as robust. I've seen the last generation woven screens, and I can definitely see and be distracted by the weave at that distance, so that leaves the 4k woven material. Just need to get the kids through college and save up an extra $3k ;)
