I apologise in advance for this post.

I am really struggling with a choice for satellite service. I currently have a media center PC's hooked to my HDTV's and grab HD OTA. I have looked at the Direct TV hardware and really like the software they are going to offer that lets a PC play recorded material from the DTV DVR. I also like the Dish 722 with the external HD capability allowing long term storage.

I can see where having a pair of 722's would let me run 4 sets and record 4 things at once, but cannot discount the possibility of using our PCs around the house (yes they are all game quality machines) for playback on near by HD sets. My goal is to have only two recording centers feed 4 or more HD sets.

Obviously the ultimate goal is the lowest monthly cost. I have cat 5 everywhere, but don't like the idea of running RG6 everwhere.

I would appreciate any thoughts.
