Cheapest Dish package with DVR

My friend is looking to get cheap tv...cheapest with a DVR.

Dish has the top 100 for 29.99 and I think it's another 6 for the DVR.

This seems to be the cheapest thing to recommend. HOWEVER, they do not want a commitment. Is there a way to sign on without the commitment and without spending 100s of dollars on equipment?

IF you buy the receiver from a retailer you can open with no commitment. Try the The Dish Store - Powered by Metro25 or Dish Network at Dish Depot: Satellite TV, Dish Network Satellite, Digital Satellite, Satellite Dish . I would try the dvr advantage pack for top 100 as it includes your locals and one dvr fee for 39.99.

If he pays the $49.99 activation fee, he will have no commitment. With locals, his total bill will be $40.97. N/C for DVR 625. Have him call Dishstore for best deal.
