what software do I need to get into the chat room? when I click on the link all I get is a small red X in the top left corner.

I have noticed that you need to click the "chat room" link on the top left. If you click the link on the front page message it will open a 2nd window and be loaded with x's.

You need Java to run the Chat, for future referrence.
