Hi I am new to FTA and looking at getting a system up and running. I was wondering if it is possible to pick up OPTUS D1 from San Francisco, CA?

Also if anyone can point me to some resources on how to read or make sense of the information on lyngsat that would be great!

Unfortunently you can not see that satellite, you can see satellites from about 53.0°W to 148.0°W (close to 179°W if there were satellites there facing US)

Also take a look at TheList , it might be easier for to understand.

Thanks for the reply. If I may ask another question, what sites or resources would you recommend to learn about FTA satellites how they work, coverage, positions, etc. Thanks.
