Looking at the illustration the Channel Master 2016 looks a bit like a UHF yagi type antenna with a VHF rabbit ear type element as a forward swept Vee added on to the rear of the boom. This cause me to wonder if I could jury rig a VHF element on to the rear of my 91XG. Anyone with a hands on for the 2016 recall how the VHF element is coupled to the UHF element?

People that know what they are doing would use a UVSJ combiner and put a VHF antenna on the mast then combine the UHF & VHF signals through the UVSJ.

People that understand G/T and noise figures would add as little as possible if they were seeking fringe area reception.
