The Boilermaker State (#19)
I've been reading with great interest about the channel count before and after the converison. I am assuming that they are getting that number from option 6-5, channel window. I had 5821 before the converison and 5821 after the converison. I have subscribed to one channel to see if the converison worked, it did. All of my generics are working fine. Would someone please explain to me what this number means?

I just converted my 922. I waited it out the for January and used a 410. My channel count didn't change, it is 4782.

The only differences seem to be the SRL logo on top of the guide and if I go off satellite X4, the receiver has a delayed reaction to the remote.

My remote works fine on any satellite, the clock gets off if I'm gone from X4 any length of time. It resets as soon as I go back.

I have a lot of trouble with the IPG. It's worse than when Motorola was running it. I usually get "No info" on all channels everytime I access the guide when I first turn on the receiver every day and it takes an enormous amount of time to list the programs - sometimes more than an hour. It's greatly lacking in program info, also.

Johnny, I found if you leave it on X4 all night (power on or off if you want) the guide will be there in the morning. My guide is not accurate. I ony subbed to ESPN Classic just to see if the conversion took, it did, but the guide has never been right.

Since the guide trickles instead of dumps the only way to be fully accurate is to stay on X4 100% of the time. Mine gets all messed up too and my programming info is missing mostly. If I do a flush in diag F and let it sit on X4 3-4 hours it usually gets the info right for that day, but soon as I leave its back to screw up city. There is nothing we can do about it unless we sit in the network stream all the time. It is what it is... I use my DirecTV guide to see whats what most of the time now.

Until now my 922 has never had the guide because it's been fixed on 105W since H2H went C band a few years ago, so it's new to me in that respect. It's better than what I had.

I had the W5 tile still programmed in after the conversion and found if I switched to it the receiver didn't like it at all and would even lock up, the generics still function as before. I just took W5 out the other day.
