Got an email from a newsletter service the other day and they had this web address http://www.channelchooser.com

Low quality, some channels didn't work and there were some ads. Check it out.

From what I can tell, they're only linking to streams already provided online, by the channels themselves. If you click on most of the "major brand name" channels, a separate window will open with the "video" section of, for example, Comedy Central's website. Since they are not retransmitting anything, only linking to it, I can't see how they could get in much trouble. The worst anyone could do is tell them to quit linking directly to a stream and instead link to a website. But I don't think that's a big problem.
