I noticed this morning (saturday) that on the 2nd ESPN alternate channel, it actually tells you in the description:

"FIFA World Cup Soccer

Germany vs. Sweden Sports:
Only Available in Sacramento, Stockton
and Modesto DMA's"

I find that to be pretty helpful and thought some others may find interest in it. Next time something gets blacked out for you, you'll know if it's your whole area or not.

From what I hear, Sacramento local ABC station declined carrying the game today, so for those in that DMA, they will be able to see the game on ESPN.

Looking at the Sacramento ABC schedule:

and comparing it to KABC Los Angeles (same time zone, same network, did carry World Cup):

It appears to me that Sacramento's KXTV News10 simply chose to carry their normal schedule of E/I programming at the time the World Cup would have been carried. KABC chose to carry the World Cup and delay E/I programming until later in the day.
