Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read this post. I am looking at the possablity of switching from Comcast to DirecTV. The price just cannot be beat. I live in a townhouse and they request something called a Certificate of Insurance. The Certificate of Insurance must have the name of my townhouse association listed as an additional insured. I then need to take this certificate and submit it for approval by my association. There are several people that have done this with both DirecTV and Dish.
My problem is getting DirecTV or even Dish Network to understand this. Every time I call they tell me that the installer will have this on him. I try t explain I need this prior to installation or me signing any kind of contract. Verizon also has some offers with DirecTV, so I have even tried them. All three companies have been unable to understan this simple request. I have spoken with supervisors who also are of no help.
I think I am going to be stuck with Comcast, but I was hoping that someone here would have some insight on how to get this certificate of insurance.
