cbc in hd on center ice

Anyone else notice that tonight's flames game is listed as the cbc feed and it is marked as being HD.

This is great, anyone know why though? I think it used to be like this a few years ago too for HNIC, but lately anything out of Canada was SD, so this is and awesome surprise this fine Saturday evening.

I hope it is a move to broadcast more Canadian feeds in HD, but I am sure that is more just wishful thinking.

Don't hold your breath. This isn't the first time HNIC was shown in hd on Dish CI.

Center Ice does provide cable with usually one or two HD feeds. Could be HNIC was on that HD feed, so Dish picked it up.

Today's Ottawa game was cbc hd too, I hope the goodness continues.
