I need some help with setting up Prodelin 0179-189 with Chaparral feedhorn. Do you have to use a lnb that is meant for an offset dish or can you use standard Cband lnb. I am using a fixed mount and want just to recieve Nasa feed AMC-3. I am located at Latitude 41.142115 Longitude -85.179755 in northern Indiana. Some guys have used prime focus feedhorns but the f/d range woul be incorrect. You need a feedhorns for offset dish with the proper scalar ring.
I'd get a DMX242 dual output C-band LNBF (feed 'n LNB), and the optional conical scalar that's available.
Yes, single-output models and dual band models are available.
I'm still suggesting the 242 !
Alternately, try the GeoSatPro C2 dual-output LNBF, and conical scalar.
Both the LNBf are well liked by the members, and there may be reviews in our FTA/MPEG2 Equipment Reviews department.
