Anyone watching the networks on G16 can tell me if those channels show local news programs or is it just mirrored network programming? Local stuff would be kind of interesting. Thanks.

The stations are mirrors of NY stations but
-There are local Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands commercials in most cases
-A lot of the commercials are the same and are repeated all the time
-alot of the NY newscasts are not shown. CBS has no news, ABC has the most, NBC has I think just the late night news
-ID is Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands

There really isnt any programs that would be "local" to them

Hmmm...so what IS shown in place of the NY newscasters?
syndicated programming
CBS has as example (going off TitanTV and times are central).
Extra at noon
Extra at 10:00PM
They have Elen at 5 and Jeopardy at 6:30

NBC has King of Queens & Seinfeld in the 6:00 hour. They do show the 5 & 10:00 news

CBS has no news,
Well if I click on the CBS Caribbean, it shows "Evening News" at 7pm. Wonder what that is?

Thanks iceberg

correction. All 3 have the National news. CBS has no "local" (NY or Carribean) news.

What's the reception like on these Caribbean locals? Pretty clear?
Iceberg I think you told me once you were getting one of those in HD?

They aren't that bad. CW seems to be the worst. When I try and watch Smackdown there is a lot of macroblocking from compression. NBC is a little iffy sometimes. CBS & ABC seem to be the best

ABC does have a HD feed on the same satellite but its only up for the national programming that is in HD

Resolution for CBS, ABC & FOX are 702X480 (Dish is 544X480)
CW & NBC are 544X480

Correction:
CBS, ABC & FOX are 704X480.
Of course I don't know how good their source is to start with.
I know for me they are better than what I get with dish.
