Manufacturers sold 238M TV sets globally in 2012, so “it would not surprise us if Apple could sell 25 million new Apple ultra-high definition televisions at $1,600 per unit, especially when considering both its track record of introducing best in class products and its market share in smartphones and tablets,” Icahn wrote.

Everyone wants Apple TV, but Icahn does not really seem to understand that Apple is not looking to just do UHD. It is looking to provide an experience unlike no other (that probably will include UHD) for the user experience. Until Apple can come up with content and controls that are groundbreaking it will not appear, no matter how much investors whine.

$1600 per unit from Apple in UHD, what are they gonna be 32" tvs?

I was thinking the same thing. No way would Apple sell a 4K tv at that price. Most likely sony and samsung prices not vizio prices.
