Cant lock on to s2....

Im having issues... I cant seem to lock on to just about any s2 channels. Right now IM trying to lock on to NBC and I have the dish pegged out on the sat, yet I still cant seem to pull it in. My lnb seems to have a 2 mhz drift and say's Horizontal is vertical and vertical is horizontal event though its pointed right. I dont mind it as long as I switch it up and add the 2 mhz it will lock in on any qpsk tranponder.

I was able to get it to lock on to s2 for some 720P fox colorbars earlyer but that was it. Usally the panny will say zero zero, or it will give a signal reading and 17 quality. Even if I turn the dish off the bird it will still say the same thing.

I also have a TT-3200 with the data drivers and TS reader. I havent been able to lock nbc with those either. I tryed to switch over to bda drivers and use dvb viewer with no luck. If its not one thing its another as now im coming back from amc 3 and going west back to The NBC 8psk feed and my Vbox is giving a ER2 message again.... GRRR I need to get a job so I can get this stuff replaced.. One thing that I have noticed and this is a pain in the arce is that the bird that the NBC 8psk feeds are on there is no dvb QPSK feeds, its all s2 or DC2 wich does not help identifying the bird when you cant lock into them.

I can see the transpoder's on my spectrum analyzer and I'm getting about 43 dbm off of them, But I cant lock.

Bob, are you using Transedit to scan those dvb-s2 signals on amc-18? I've never had much luck scanning with Dvbviewer at least the dvb-s2 stuff. Also the SR and FEC is wrong on Lyngsat. These are my settings, I just re-scanned to make sure they work.
3780H 30000 FEC 5/6.
I just tried scanning in Dvbviewer 4.1.1 and it scans in with that too.

Update: The dish is definatly pegged, I went ahead and fixed the H / V thing. So now if its H it's H Im scanning in KU as well as C.. So im good to go there... Still having a difficult time getting nbc to pop up, but its allright as IM waching the hawks game on KU. Im definalty getting a Gbox.. As this Vbox keeps giving me an ER2 message. I have checked everything in the system an all leads me to the Vbox as when it clicks, to the east, its a lighter click than to the west, wich is a harder click. The dish does move west but, it gives the ER2 message going east.

So as far as Dvb S2 right now i have my hands in the air untill I can get an Azubox allong with a gbox.

That could be a possibility. Right now im running one of those GEOSAT Pro's.

I'd bet it ain't. I have two of them and they are perfect for S2. Your aiming has to be perfect for S2 on a BUD especially Ku S2. I have had times that I lost or had full signal on a Ku S2 signal with one bump of the dish.

You need to make SURE the LNB is centered, and I don't mean "good enough" either. 1/16 of an inch in all directions wouldn't be out of the question.
Then make SURE your F/D is correct, as well as focal length. Again, "good enough" ain't gonna get it. This is a VERY touchy operation. ONLY THEN can you move on to make sure that your aiming is within +/- .1 degree declination/elevation at true south, then you can move on to LNB or receiver issues.

Keep at it Bob, it took me months to get each of my dishes right.
