Can't interpret spotbeam charts

I'm trying to understand the spot beam. I'm located in Fishersville, Va, zip code 22939. We don't have any locals and no waivers either.

I can't get the Charloteesville locals, because i don't have Dish 1000 ( i have dish 500.) I'm not doing well in figuring out if the spotbeam from Roanoke covers my area. It seems the one from D.C., but I'm not sure how to interpret that, since both are on 110 and I think on transponder 25?

Would it be possible to "move" to Roanoke and still be within the spotbeam location, or can I "move" to NYC, and get the still get the national feed.

From your location, I gather your near Staunton, you can probably get Roanoke, D.C. and the New York City feeds. They are supposed to get Harrisonburg soon, I read somewhere they uplinked it, but that could be another year before they turn it on.

The area that you live in is full of mountains and valleys, local reception must be horrible.
