Can't Get HG & NFL Auth on Vip211

Well it's been a week since the new channels went live and these two are in RED on my 211 (with new Stand Alone HD Pak). Don't understand why NATG comes in fine, but not HG & NFL?

So this morning called Tech Support and he hit it twice and they are still RED. He said something about thier uplink is backed up so it might take a while??? I've done Reboots, Pull Power, Check Switchs, but they are still not Authorized. Going to call them back again now.

The HD Stand alone pack that was created in February has already been discontinued (as of June 9) and won't be getting any new channels.

You need to get at least DishHD Bronze to get those 2 channels

Actually No he was right.. The HD standalone pack was discontinued for those who upgraded... You need a subscription to the new metalic pack to even get the new channels... You cant even activate an 811 or 942 any more without having to go through a hassle because dish wants to give you a mpg 4 reciver for the new channels..

I've had my 211 since Feb. I've had the NEW HD pak since Feb. I'm getting all the new "mpeg4" channels, except HG & NFL.

And I just got off the phone with a supervisor. He said, "The Stand Alone HD pak will always get the same HD channels that the Gold HD pak gets except the premium movie channels, including NATG even after 7/7".

Unfortunately my current problem with HG & NFL still persists after they just sent another hit. They are now sending reports to the engineering dept.

I had the same exact problem that you're having and I have the HD Latino Gold package. I plan on cancelling my HD package at the end of the month. I'm just tired of the Bullsh!t and ordered and OTA receiver for my local HD channels.

Well you hopefully you can try believe that the super doesn't have the right info or be persistent but, don't you think that after countless attempts to get HG & NFL should tell you that maybe what I'm trying to tell you is correct?

Once again, you (nor anyone else) haven't provided any evidence to support your latest statement that the Stand Alone Pak is gone. I keep asking for something, but there is nothing yet. Same thing happened in Feb... You made the claim, gave no evidence, and what happened? The Stand Alone Pak stayed alive...

Seems like they are not only hiding the facts from the subs but thier own staff too. Pretty sad when thier own team doesn't know about the changes announced at a thier own summit.

Back in Febuarary, I spent $400 on a new mpeg4 receiver and upgraded my account from $20/mo to $36/mo to continue to get the new HD channels. Now I am basically being told all this additional expense is worthless. Yet all the people who upgraded and want SD channels too are not being locked out.

Why are they punishing the HD Stand Alone Package people??? We deserve all the same channels as the HD Bronze. We are paying extra fees to have HD only and they won't let us have the same HD channels as the Bronze package. WHY???

I've been a Dish customer for over 8 years and have put up with a lot of changes, but this has really got me mad.

Dish changed their minds and decided they didn't want to provide a stand alone package.

The mist was in the air and it seemed like dish didn't really want to provide the stand alone service to begin with/ It was kept hush and only available to receiver owners. So 4 months later they made it obsolete.

If they don't want to offer the Stand Alone Pak anymore, that's up to them. But they should let the current subs keep in line with at least the Bronze Pak. Doesn't Grandfathered mean the new rules DON'T apply? Dish's definition of Grandfathered seems to mean the new rules in fact do apply.
