Can you pick the tuner used by the slingbox with the dish 722k?

Nope it uses the tv2 output.

but, having said that. TV2 doesn't mean tuner 2. you can manage which tuner is doing what, but in most cases there isn't a need to worry about it. either TV output can use any of the four, since you have a K, possible tuners.

Huh. Apparently I need educating. How do you "manage which tuner is doing what" from DO or DRA? Does the answer change when you are in duo mode? I know about Record Plus (or whatever it's called) that sends recordings preferentially to one tuner or another. But what if you start up DRA and find yourself looking at a recording in progress?
