I recently extended my contract with Dish after making some upgrades and I probably have 18-20 months left on my current contract. Then, Dish decided to drop Fox Sports. I can live without the Disney channels in HD but missing College Football games this season has really ticked me off.

I am wondering if I can get out of my contract without having to pay the early cancellation fee since they have dropped channels on me? Anybody researched this already?

You have a binding agreement. You can call them and ask. They may or may not waive it or they might offer you a credit. It never hurts to ask. Just be nice and see what happens. The Fox channels will eventually return.

You could put it on pause and get cable for a few months... Just a thought.

Thanks for keeping it in the pub guys. ;)

But let me clarify one thing I posted a RUMOR that I was (and am) hearing a buzz that to matter will be settled and the missing channels will be returned on the 1st.

Is it true? My contacts are normally really good, but who knows until the deal is announced and we see the channels back with our own eyes.
