So I just finally upgraded to a Hopper3 from my 722. The First tech, last week, could not go up on roof because of snow, so had to reschedule. The tech that came out this week informed me they would not be able to go on my roof because of safety rules from dish. He installed a third dish on my roof(near the edge). Very disappointing as I built access into the chimney when I built the house just for dish install which now can't be used. Now I am left with a bunch of dish scrap left on my roof, including three mounts and two dish's, that I will have to find someone else to remove.
At 76, I can still do pretty much everything I need to, but many things are nowhere near as easy as they used to be.
Are you sure you want to remove them? If they aren't leaking now why gamble. So I just finally upgraded to a Hopper3 from my 722. Probably will remove the dish's and leave the bottom mounting brackets alone. There is already one up there that was left by an installer that kept moving the dish around because he couldn't get a signal and wouldn't listen when I told him the new lnb he had was no good. Are you sure you want to remove them? I spent my whole life and career up and down ladders and rooftops. At 70, my balance, coordination, strength, eyesight, and confidence have all diminished to the point I'm not even comfortable anymore stepping onto the roof off of a good ladder. Coming down is even trickier.
At this age, a broken leg is more than just an inconvenience. It's the difference between living on my own and managed care.
This day comes for most of us, earlier for some than others.
I just hit 81 and my wife sold the ladders

Jeeezuz CHRISTOPHER you people make me feel young - just turned 55 - and I can walk on roofs, too, btw
You'll get there, Mike... Being old beats the alternative...Buncha old men 'round here.......
Yeah, my kids tell people I'm the real Peter PanI was jumping from roof to roof at 55 and playing soccer on the weekends. I didn't hit the wall until I was 68, but man was it a collision.
AMENYou'll get there, Mike... Being old beats the alternative...
Get offa my lawn!! (shakes cane...)Buncha old men 'round here.......
Put some silicone in the holes. That's it. Fixed. If not then change all the siding.but what if I want to take it all down and now I have holes in the side of my house? Who is responsible for fixing it
OMG! 30.00 !! that's huge lolYou should see what the moron did to my house. He didn't bother pre-drilling holes before using an impact driver to bolt in several 5" lag bolts and split the wood in half. I spent $30 in wood, nails, and paint fixing what the buffoon did.
