Can a Dish Network dish be used for DTV service?

Is there anything specific to the brand of the dish? I have DTV and the arm got snapped off. I've found someone willing to give me their old DN dish. I only need a old school round dish with a SD receiver.

WELCOME! If its an old legacy dish then sure. If it Has DP or dish pro on it then no as the LNBF's (the eyes of the dish) would have to be changed to non dish pro ones.
