caller id not working on tv

i have a phone line hooked up via a cordless phone jack, that plugs into home wiring to allow phone connection where there is no phone jack.
i was assured by DN that it would work exactly like plugging in a landline to an outlet, but for some reason i dont get the caller id popup on this reciever.
It works fine on my other reciever that is plugged into a jack directly.
my caller id is enabled on the vip622, and phone line connection tests ok.
any thoughts why it isnt displaying?

not all cordless jacks are caller id compatable, it sounds like yours isn't.
