what sort of equiptement is needed to call in one line, then be able
to call out on another?

I am looking to cut my cell bill, call in network to a home based cell
phone, access somehow a regular wired line, and gab forever.

ideally the system would recognize my caller ID from the incoming
line. but its no biggie. with unlimited VOIP if someone stumbled onto
it who cares.

Cinicinati's telecom does this with its wired and wireless service, they treat your cell phone as part of your home phone. As to what your wanting to do outside of that I dont think its possible as your still having to use your cell phone and its provider to make the call from the cell to your home phone. Best bet to lower your bill is to drop the home phone all together or go with a bundle for the time being through the phone company.

Last year I dropped my cell phone service and dont miss it in the least, try it you might like the new freedom and the savings.

Well my home phone gets lots of calls most customers have that number.

found out the item does exist its called a DISA direct inward service access.

mostly used by large companies where field employees call a 800 number then access a outgoing line to make the call

I have 2 wired lines. I also found out this is legal with every cell provider but verizon, the fellow I talked to owns a large communication company.

Trouble is I dont need a 3000 dollar phone system just a small stand alone box.

I remember several people doing this with a cellphone to landline conversion product, then plugging it into a Sipura3000. Dial the cell phone, Sipura3000 at home picks up, dial your Spa3000 security code, then dial the number you want.

I even remember hearing about a product that did the same thing except, you put the SIM card in the VoIP box and cut out half the hardware.

For my sales reps, We have an 800 Number forwarded to a vonage number, and then use simulring to ring both their cell phone and an extension at the office.

The cell phones are free incoming along with vonage, the only toll charges are the 2.2 cents for the toll Free Service.

I had a 800 number for perhaps 20 years till a casino got a similiar number. my phone started ringing 24 / 7 I finally cancelled the 800 number. just found out its be reused as a porn line....

that sipura sounds nice. and doesnt appear too expensive.

wonder if any verizon cell phones use SIM cards? that would make it simpler.

there are 4 of us on our verizon friends and family cell package. any one of us could use this feature. currently our cell bill is over 200 bucks per month. I could easily get it under a 100 bucks saving about $1200.00 per year. thats why I am interested.

if i do buy this stuff i could talk 24 / 7 on my cell basically for free, after paying the fixed costs...... since calls would be in network
