Beginning Thursday, September 1, and continuing through Monday, October 31, 2005, Cablevision will offer all new and existing Cablevision customers within the Bronx, Brooklyn, Newark, Hudson, Paterson, Bayonne, Yonkers, and Bridgeport service areas the opportunity to purchase one of three select, pre-configured Dell PCs for $299 or more and receive a $100 Optimum Cash mail-in rebate when they subscribe to Optimum Double Play or Triple Play. This offer will also be available to any DBS three product (Triple Bundle) and DBS two product (Double Bundle) Winback sales via inbound/outbound and direct sales channels in the targeted areas only.
• The offer will be communicated through direct mail, outbound telemarketing, print and TV advertising.
• All advertising will instruct customers to call inbound sales to sign up for service.
• Inbound Sales Representatives shall inform customers who sign up for a qualifying package and mention the Dell PC offer, that they will receive a letter with instructions on how to order their Dell PC and receive their $100 Optimum Cash rebate. Sales Representatives shall also remind the customer that a valid Visa or MasterCard is required to purchase the Dell PC.
• All customers within the targeted service areas who subscribe to a qualifying package between September 1 and October 31, 2005, will receive a follow up letter. The letter will include instructions on how to order their Dell PC, a unique PC customer ID number and a mail-in rebate form (printable rebate forms will also be available at www.optimum.com/delloffer ).
• Once the customer has received their follow-up letter and unique PC customer ID number, they may call the toll-free phone number (provided in the follow-up letter) to order their Dell PC. Customers must provide their unique PC customer ID number at the time they place their Dell PC order.
• To receive the $100 Optimum Cash rebate check, customers must mail their completed rebate form, which must be postmarked by December 15, 2005.
• Customers must purchase their Dell PC by November 15, 2005 and they must retain the PC for at least 8 days. Customers must also remain an active Cablevision customer at the required level of service for at least 45 days to qualify.
• Customers who downgrade their service before the 45-day mark, and the package to which they downgrade is a valid qualifying package, they will remain eligible for the Optimum Cash rebate.
• Customers will receive their Optimum Cash rebate check 8 – 12 weeks after they fully qualify for the offer.
• The Optimum Cash rebate check will be valid for 180 days from the date of issuance.
• Existing Double Play, Double Bundle, Triple Play, Triple Play with iO en español and Triple Bundle offer rules apply.
• There is a limit of one rebate per household.
• This offer may be extended, upon request, to customers who live outside of the targeted areas and have heard about the promotion. Agents shall use the “Lost Unique PC ID” process outlined in the Questions and Answers Section of this communication to send these customers the follow-up mailer.
