Looks rather interesting. Someone should go to Sears and get some screenshots of the menu's, EPG, brochures, and information for us with their digital camera so we can see how its all setup.

It looks just like the DCT 5000 Digital Cable receiver.

Everything else that I've read about the Voom Receiver said it would have DVI.

Maybe they added it?

I don't need fluorescent multicolor logos in my equipment rack, thanks. Colored LEDs and displays that light up when the equipment is in use are one thing, but this pushes my limits.

And I'm sure something this ugly will have WAF problems, as well.

RGBHV Output

Because motorola did not include RGBHV output, many potential customers who own high end video equipment will not be able to consider this system. How stupid!!!! I might have bought it.

501 / 508 Expansion ports

Does anyone know if the Expansion port on the 501/508 models is usable?

Meaning .. can buy a cable and hook up another harddrive, or connect it to my PC and access the recordings.

Not to my knowledge at this time. For legal reasons Dish may not be able to do this in the future as mentioned on the last Tech Chat, although they said they may if they do not have any legal problems.
