Dear Cable Choice Now Supporter,
Thanks to the hard work of many and the efforts of Virginians like you who took time to join our coalition and/or send an e-mail to your legislators, the Cable Competition Act has passed the Virginia General Assembly and was signed into law by Governor Tim Kaine today. With your help we sent a loud message to Virginia’s elected officials that consumers are tired of rising cable prices and want a choice in cable providers.
As a result of this legislation, new entrants will be able to enter the video marketplace more quickly while providing existing companies and local governments appropriate protections. Virginians can expect to see greater innovation, better value and real choice for television service. You can visit our website at www.cablechoicenow.org to learn more about this legislation.
Again, thank you for your help to bring cable competition to Virginia.
