C/KU Combined on my 10' dish

I am thinking to slap a C/KU unit on my dish to receive both C and KU on my 10' . First off, it appears the WSI and the DMSI is completely out of stock. Not available anywhere.. So, I'm not even sure what product to get.. Is anyone having good luck with a C/KU combination and if so, what products, that are still available, would you suggest??

feedhorns are all i know that are available from companies like adl or chaparral

Then buy you some LNB's to go with it.

I have a Corotor II and that works well. Norsat LNB's both on KU and Cband. I also use an ASC1 to switch for polarity's.

Yea, i have the ASC1. Can anyone suggest what model LNB's... Should i get the PLL ones?

You will most likely be fine with DRO's, but if you have the extra cash I would go with PLL. Just a difference of about 200 in the life of your system.

Some of them are but none are a great deal and just so-so specs. compare to this web site http://www.satcomresources.com/

How Funny. Talking about a C\Ku feed and I happen to get one by accident today. Picked up an
8 foot KTI today and look what was on it:

Is this LNB any good?

I cant take a decent picture of the Ku side but the specs are:
Stability: 500 Khz
Noise: 0.5 db
Same brand as C LNB.
Is this one decent?

Old DRO LNBs. If they haven't drifted off frequency because of age they might do ok. Definitely not Norsats.

Those are the 1990's 4DTV lnbs. They are good ones. Or, at least very usable if nothing is wrong with them due to age.

Does the fact that the dish was never used make a difference or is age just a factor in possible degradation of performance?

Unfortunately it was outside on the dish for it's lifetime. I might have to get iBoston to test it for me.

Well all you can do is set them up and check them out and see how they perform. I'm guessing you a bit like me and probably will want better ones when they come along anyway.
