I am getting ready to add a second HD FTA box to my line up.
I presently have the pansat 9200 HD now with the s-2 kit.
The 9200 HD has opened up my FTA selections to some HD but the box has been less than trouble free. It has always locked up quite a bit and now with the s-2 board installed and pansat's software upgrade....It locks up more than ever now.
I do like the blind scan feature.
What FTA box that will do HD and dvb s-2 signals right out of the box and has a form of blind scan is out there?
The whole (optional) s-2 upgrade thing with this pansat 9200 has been a pain since the hackers that steal dish network have all their fake s-2 cards all over ebay has made my upgrade complicated.
These so called "illumiutty" (pun intended) cards won't receive real FTA signals.
There are more of the fake cards than the real FTA cards floating around.
Most dealers don't know the difference between the two.
I want an HD receiver that does s-2 out of the box. I don't want anything that I have to wait for an upgrade like this pansat.
