the only difference is the -2 is a Universal KU LNB and the -1 (or 621) is a standard KU

also the -2 has a diseqc switch built in...the -1 has a 22k switch built in

they work the same on C-Band and to work with a smaller dish you really need a conical scaler ring. The stock ring might work but the conical is much better :)

I have a BSC621-2. Once I got it dialed in, I was very pleased with it. I get in the high 80's and 90's across the entire arc for both C and Ku.

You just have to dial in the F/D and skew. Also the screw for the scalar ring is kinda cheap, but you just need a good screw driver to tighten it and a clamp also helps.

I have a BSC621-2 on a 1oft. prime focus dish. It works great. Is a little tricky at first. For me it was best to use the C band first and then concentrate on Ku.
There is only two negative sides for me. One is to change the metal adjustment screw to a plastic type. The metal adjustment or set screw scratches the LNB surface. The other is keeping it weather proof.
I would buy another one if needed.
